Our story
A small company with a big reason to be here.
All Hearts Transportation Services LLC is based in Williamston, North Carolina, and serves families across Bertie County and the surrounding communities of the Inner Banks. We were started by people who grew up here, who know these back roads by heart, and who understand that getting from a farmhouse outside Windsor to a specialist in Greenville is not a small ask.
Our founder, Shielda Forrest, spent 27 years in customer service — including 16 years with Bertie County DSS — before turning her attention full-time to transportation. She holds a BS in Behavioral Science and Education from Liberty University, is the author of two books, Enjoying the Moment and Putting It All on the Table, and hosts the YouTube channel Lemonade & Bits with Shiel. All Hearts is the natural extension of that life's work: a heart to serve the needs of this community, built into a company.
Rooted in Bertie County
We're proud to be a local, Black-woman-owned small business and a member of the Bertie Business Network. When you call us, you're not calling a dispatcher three states away — you're calling neighbors. We know which clinics run behind on Mondays, which pharmacies close early on Saturday, and which families need a hand with the screen door on the way out.
What we believe
Meet people where they are. Lead with honesty and transparency. Remember to enjoy the moment. Those three ideas — the heart of Shielda's work as a speaker and author — are the same three ideas that guide every ride we give. Being on time is a form of respect. Helping someone with a coat or a bag is part of the job, not a favor. A five-minute conversation in the car can be the best part of someone's day, and we treat it that way.
Who we serve
We drive for older adults who don't drive anymore, patients recovering from procedures, families coordinating care for a loved one, adults living with disabilities, and anyone in our region who needs to get somewhere important and wants to do it without stress. We work directly with families, hospitals, case managers, adult day programs, and senior communities across Bertie, Martin, Hertford, and Washington counties.
Where we go from here
We're growing slowly and on purpose. Every new driver is hired the same way the first one was — because we'd trust them with our own grandmother. If that means we stay small, we'll stay small. We'd rather be the company that says yesbecause we can, than the one that says it because we want the booking.
A standing invitation
If you have a loved one who could use a ride, or you're a provider looking for a transportation partner you can actually count on — call us. We'll pick up.
